The first of the Battle Shows set a new ratings record for The Voice of Ireland on Sunday evening on RTÉ One.

The first of the Battle Shows set a new ratings record for The Voice of Ireland on Sunday evening on RTÉ One.

A record 742,700 watched the programme, giving a 44.25% audience share and making The Voice of Ireland the Number One show for the week on Irish television.

On Sunday's show Róisín Carlin (Team Bressie), Tammy Browne (Team Sharon), Kelly Mongan (Team Kian), Sinéad O'Brien (Team Bressie), Andy MacUnfriadh (Team Kian) and Velvin Lamont (Team Bressie) went through to the live shows.

The Battles continue this Sunday, February 24, on RTÉ One at 6:30pm, with the live shows beginning on Sunday March 17.
