Former Grey's Anatomy star Kim Raver has landed the lead role in the latest NCIS spin-off.

Raver - whose CV includes Lipstick Jungle and 24 - will play Special Agent Paris, the athletic, smart, witty and bold leader of the Red team.

The 43-year-old joins a cast that also includes John Corbett (sex and the city, Northern Exposure), Scott Grimes (ER), Edwin Hodge (Cougar Town), Gillian Alexy (Damages), and Miguel Ferrer, who'll juggle between the LA version and the latest spin-off.

Fans will get a first glimpse of the new show - in which a mobile team of agents live and work together as they cross the country solving crimes - when it airs in a two-part episode of NCIS: LA.
