Stars turn out for the 2013 IFTAs

The cameras are poised, the stage is set and the red carpet has flooded with the cream of the crop as talented Irish actors, producers and directors arrived for the 10th annual Irish Film and Television Awards this evening.

The cameras are poised, the stage is set and the red carpet has flooded with the cream of the crop as talented Irish actors, producers and directors arrived for the 10th annual Irish Film and Television Awards this evening.

The ceremony is being held in the National Convention Centre in Dublin's Docklands tonight, honouring the best of Irish talent across film and television.

Updated 5:45pm: Chris O'Dowd and wife Dawn have arrived, as well as The Voice of Ireland stars Bressie and Kian Egan.

So far Irish actors Andrew Scott, Jack Reynor and Domhnall Gleeson have all walked the red carpet, with Reynor saying he's very excited, but can't give too many details, about his recent signing on to Hollywood blockbuster Transformers 4.

RTÉ stars Claire Byrne, Miriam O'Callaghan and Fair City actresses Aoibhín Garrihy and Aoibheann McCaul all dazzled in their dresses, while one of the first arrivals was actress Fionnula Flanagan who stunned in a black gown by Michael Kors.

Updated 6:10pm: Coronation Street stars Michelle Keegan and Chris Fountain, who play Tina and Tommy, have arrived as well as Saoirse Ronan and Love/Hate nominee Robert Sheehan, who arrived in a black tux with a bright pink shirt!

Updated 6:30pm: Hoping to secure themselves gongs tonight, Brendan O'Carroll of Mrs Browns Boys have Tom Vaughan Lawlor (Nidge) of Love/Hate have arrived for the ceremony, which is due to begin shortly.

A heavily pregnany Amy Huberman, who is due to give birth to her first child in a week, quickly followed, arm in arm with her mum. Kathryn Thomas is also looking dazzling in a THEIA Couture gown by US-based Irish designer Don O'Neill.

Updated 6:45pm: No sign of Colin Farrell or Michael Fassbender yet. Speculation was fuelled earlier on that both would be attending. May still arive.

Updated 7:05pm: With the ceremony about to begin, the red carpet has gotten a little quieter. Maura Derrane and Síle Seoige dazzle in dramatic gowns, alongside equally stylish Off The Rails presenters Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney.
