Psy sweeps France's NRJ Awards

Psy was the unlikely winner at France's annual music awards ceremony last night, taking home the prize for International Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year and NRJ Award of Honor with his worldwide hit, Gangnam Style.

Carly Rae Jepsen was present to take home International Breakthrough of the Year, while One Direction took home International Duo/Group of the Year.

The awards for male and female International Artist of the Year went to Rihanna and Bruno Mars, who were unable to attend the ceremony in Cannes.

French language singers Shy'm and Tal took home the Francophone awards at the ceremony, with Shy'm taking home the award in her category for the second year running.

Alicia Keys attended with husband Swizz Beats, while Emeli Sandé, One Direction, Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen peformend.

Taylor Swift performed her hit We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
