Irish sci-fi comedy out in March

The award-winning Irish sci-fi comedy Earthbound, the feature debut of writer-director Alan Brennan, will be released in cinemas in March.

The award-winning Irish sci-fi comedy Earthbound, the feature debut of writer-director Alan Brennan, will be released in cinemas in March.

Winner of the Best First Irish Feature award at the 2012 Galway Film Fleadh, Earthbound stars Rafe Spall, Jenn Murray, David Morrissey, Carrie Crowley and Ned Dennehy and is in cinemas from Friday March 15.

Shot on location in Dublin, Earthbound follows the adventures of Joe Norman (Spall), an alien tasked with finding a mate so his species can survive.

The film will be screened as part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival on Wednesday February 20 in Cineworld, with writer-director Brennan and other special guests in attendance.
