Politician Oona King has become the latest contestant to be voted off Dancing on Ice, with professional partner Mark Hanretty hurting his shoulder just moments before their skate-off performance.

Hanretty fell as the couple were getting into position and had to receive medical attention before getting the all-clear to perform.

King and Hanretty lost out in the skate-off to former rugby player Gareth Thomas and his partner Robin Johnstone.

Judge Ashley Roberts told the couples they had delivered "amazing performances", while fellow judge Jason Gardiner said it was "definitely one of the most dramatic skate-offs we've ever had".

Head judge Robin Cousins told King: "Against anyone else, a skate of that calibre would easily have taken you through."

After being eliminated, King said she "adored" the experience.

Partner Hanretty joked: "I didn't expect to have as much fun as I had with a politician."
