HULU acquires Love/Hate rights

The wider American audience will now have the opportunity to watch Irish series Love/Hate after HULU acquires the rights to the series.

The wider American audience will now have the opportunity to watch Irish series Love/Hate after HULU acquires the rights to the series.

HULU now own the rights to the first and second series of the drama and will broadcast to the wider American audience through its online video service. Other popular dramas hosted on the website include Homeland, The Wire and Downton Abbey.

HULU will launch the first two episodes of the first series of Love/Hate in the coming days and will release two subsequent episodes each week thereafter.

HULU has previously screened some of RTÉ's factual titles including Secret of the Stones and The Man Who Shot Beckett but the acquisition of Love/Hate marks the first drama deal.

To date the first and second series of Love/Hate have also been broadcast in Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East. Australia and South Korea have confirmed purchase of the third series.
