Spoiler alert! Just eight people are left in the competition to find the latest MasterChef Ireland after another person left the kitchen last night.

27-year-old Conn Mac Cormaic from Kilbarrack in Dublin was sent home after failing to impress judges Nick Munier and Dylan McGrath. The contestants were set the challenge of creating childhood dishes based on Nick and Dylan's favourites.

However Conn failed to impress with his Crepe Suzette with strawberries and citrus cream which Dylan described as his "childhood nightmare".

The winner of the childhood dishes challenge was Brian Topping with his hake with herb crumb. This gave him the edge in the second pork challenge where he got to choose which cuts of meat the other contestants worked with.

Conn served up spare ribs which failed to impress the judges and so he found himself out of the competition.
