Ulster's Paddy Wallace has been put on standby for Ireland's RBS 6 Nations clash with France after out-half Jonny Sexton complained of tweak in his thigh muscle on Friday.

The Leinster number 10 felt a tweak in his thigh muscle following this afternoon's kicking session and after he was examined by the team medical staff, it was decided to bring cover into the squad.

If Sexton is ruled out, Ronan O'Gara would step up from the replacements and Wallace, who was pulled out of Ulster's PRO12 game with the Dragons, would provide cover on the bench.
